Why this site exists
AI is more than a chat box on the web. Bitware News covers what the technology actually does — methods, medical ML, evaluation — with primary sources and caveats.

Most people meet “AI” as a website that writes paragraphs or draws cats. That slice is real — and loud. It is not the whole stack.
Underneath are systems that retrieve under uncertainty, read imaging and reports with measured error bars, train representations, run on-device, and get graded against harnesses you can reproduce. Bitware News is a quiet lane for that work: scientific AI and medical ML, curated from primary sources.
Each brief aims for three things:
- What’s new — in plain language
- The primary link — paper, preprint, or code
- The caveat — subset, self-report, or “indicative, not like-for-like” when that’s the honest read
No hype cycle. No culture-war takes. Just what changed, and how you’d check it.
